Dog Works offers private training in Lehi, UT and surrounding cities for individuals or their pets that would benefit from a one-on-one training environment.
Occasionally dogs that are nervous or reactive in new places may struggle to learn effectively in a group setting, and private coaching can provide a more focused, less stimulated environment for your dog to thrive in. If you or your pet would like more attention than a group setting offers, private training would be great for you. We have a variety of trainers to pair each owner and their pet with, or you may specify a certain trainer you would like to schedule training with for your lessons. Individual trainer rates may vary.
What Will My Dog Learn?
Private training can be scheduled for puppy training, basic obedience, advanced (competition) obedience, protection training, behavior modification, scent work, dock diving, agility, service dog training, or other training needs as requested by the client.
Private training sessions last up to 60 minutes, but depending on the age of the dog the full duration of a session may vary to accommodate the needs of each individual dog.
Is Private Training What I Need For My Dog?
All pets at any age can benefit from our obedience training, but in general, the younger you start training your pet the easier it will be. You will know if your puppy needs training if it becomes distracted in new environments, loses focus when it should be obedient, shows any signs of nervousness around new people, places, or things, or does not show an interest to engage with you.
We prioritize the safety of dogs here at our facility extremely high. We require proof of vaccinations for any dog that enters our facility, and will only allow pre-approved dogs into our group classes.
We have crates suit any breed or size of dog while your dog is here. We also have larger style kennel runs for dogs that require more space or special room.
Dogs must be at least 8 weeks old AND have been started on their puppy vaccinations with a certified veterinarian.
Training results will vary from dog to dog, but in general, we see that most clients and their pets are achieving results in just a few months!
Obedience training costs will vary depending on whether you’re attending basic obedience group classes, private coaching sessions, or enrolling in our Day Train program.
It is not possible, or ethical, for any trainer to provide a guarantee on results; however, we do guarantee improvement based on the training program established with each client.
We accept all major credit cards or Venmo as forms of payment. Payment is due prior to services being rendered, unless otherwise agreed upon with Dog Works management.
